Guess i could start a build thread to get some action going on the board.
Started with a bronco 2 i picked up in wisconsin. Had the chop top done, OBA, sliders, and a drivetrain swap from a 93? ranger. 4.0,stick, 1350. dana 35 & 8.8.

Here it is when i got it after i added the tires.

Picked up a adapter kit to run a Ford np435 behind the 4.0, kit came with adapter plate, clutch, and brass pilot bushing.
Kit worked out pretty good except you have to get allen head bolts for the flywheel because the new pilot bushing is 1/4 inch longer to take up the gap from the adapter plate, so regular bolt heads would bottom out on the pilot bearing before it would tighten the flywheel down. for ultra fine thread allen head bolts they were pretty pricy for a bolt.

As of now i have the np435 in the b2, going out tomorrow to finish the crossmember then ill be able to put up the 205.

Update as i go, won't be a fast process. Anybody willing to give a hand here and there will be appreciated.
I'll take some more pictures tomorrow while i am out there.

BTW i think there is a sh*t talk section, Anyways went out to camp today for a bit and forgot the camera. Got the tranny mount done then ran out of propane for the buddy heater which was keeping it somewhat bearable in the garage. going bsck out to put the starter on and mount up the 205.

sry. anyways. you have any plans about a clutch hose? I remember the clutch hose on that slave was pretty jank from the previous owner, if it's a roll pin lock style you may want to think about ordering a hose for a 86? f150 with an external slave 435 and maybe you can jam it around and make it work. the one for the tan truck I bought new, although it was for a 93 chev did not look like it was going to work. I jammed it all around and finally figured it out and it worked good. if Ford ever had a certain year like chev did though where they ran a metal line with fittings, such as chev using bubble flare you'd be in real business as you would just to bend your own cheap and inexpensive custom metal line, I did that on a chev before. Or maybe you could rig up a chev slave, and master, for like an 88/89 chev.

well got the tcase on and twin sticked, some advice for anyone thinking of doing it, it is alot easier to do most of it with the tcase out of the rig, had to cut out a section of floor to get to the freeze plug which had to be punched out to punch out the roll pin connecting the shift fork to the rear shift rail. once i had the roll pin punched out i went to pull the rail out which could not come out all the way due to the dick on the trans tail housing where the shifters mount. sooo, had to un bolt the 205 and jack it up until the rail would clear the dickhauser. putting it back together was tons of fun alone also, my screw driver i had holding the shift fork fell out so the shift fork dropped to the bottom of the case.......led to me elbow deep in the case with one arm through the inspection cover and my other through the hole in my floor with a screw driver in the freeze plug hole fishing for the fork.

to make a short story long that was my day, but now i will be able to front dig around gary all day *middlefangers*

edit:when it moves on its own power someday:

have not had to much time on this project lately, got a new position at menards and have been working 45 hours plus a week. plan to start staying out at camp and getting a couple hours of work done a night. got the clutch bled just have to adjust the pivot ball inside the bell to get proper through on it. got 2 front axles at my disposal right now, a cast wedge and a weld on. going to take the parts i need and make a complete one with the weld on and sell the cast. got my radius arms now, just need to get the joints on and together.

Dont think i will have to re-gear the axles anytime soon, the 1st gear in the np435 it pretty damn low (6.78-1) driving it in and out of the garage makes me really want to get this thing done finally and break it.
